Polychrome Rift is a series of video animations and print-based artworks. In these works, I am interested in crafting images and experiences that hover in temporal and perceptual equilibrium, that balance the micro and macro, the natural and technological, the real and the imaginary. The works from this series exist as both windows into alternative, non-rational environments and fragmentary artifacts of a hauntological future.
I am also interested in investigating and expanding methods and processes that interact with an aggregate cultural image stream, hence the usage of AI to post-process images of 3D crafted and rendered spaces into more uncanny, untethered forms. These generative images are then further crafted into physical forms that expand the notion of digital printmaking.
All imagery in this series is processed through AI imaging tools. Final images are then digitally cut up and collaged into more intricate compositions before being placed into the final non-regular forms to be printed onto Dibond. The audio in the video works is similarly produced through random generative processes, though on a Eurorack modular synthesizer instead of through AI tools.
